Girls in Life

Anything for you, Beyonce!
Sorry dudes, but Beyonce was right....  girls run the world.  We guys have no say in what girls do, nor will we ever.  And we barely have a say in what we do as guys.  Women practically control our thoughts, emotions, and actions.  Sometimes, we're OK with being controlled, but not all the time.  I, for one, hate being used.  It's fucks with my self-confidence (which I find to be quite disrespectful), and is overall demoralizing.  I think the biggest problem with this (yes, problem, ladies) is that women and men try to constantly prove who is better when we all know that dogs are the best (kidding).

It obviously isn't our place to decide which is the better gender.  My opinion is out in the open, so feel free to contradict me.  I've got plenty of arguments, but I don't feel obligated to share.  It's too personal.

Music is Life

LOVE IT.
hate it.
For those of you that know me, then you know that my choices, moods, hell, my life in general is all affected by the music I'm listening to.  Metal when pissed, rap when pumped, country when calm, etc.(Shane knows.)

Lately, though, I've been trying out different online music programs, such as Pandora or Spotify.  I used to be a iTunes guy, playing the library and
getting bored as fuck.  Then I experimented with Pandora.  It was fun and interesting, and it introduced me to a lot of songs that I didn't know I liked.  This went on for quite some time, and I grew increasingly irritable when the good music that I had started with began to evolve into this shitty mix of stupid songs that just didn't satisfy my craving for the jams that I loved.

Story time.

This year I get to be a Teacher Aide to the chillest teacher in my school (or second chillest, I guess.)  Anywho, she is always playing music in her class, and she uses Spotify.  I had never heard of it but, after a few short days of playing DJ for the class, I learned of the awesomeness of this music player (I'm actually using it right now!) and downloaded it onto Google Chrome.  Now, I don't know how I survived without this gift from God.  Please, try it out.  I highly recommend it!

It's Time

Time is a pain in the ass.  Sometimes there's not enough time, other times when there's to much time. Time is almost as important to Americans as money (but not quite.)  In order to keep things short, I will say this about time...  It greedily consumes our lives. And we let it (not like we can fight it...),  but instead of complaining about our lost time, why not do something constructive with the time we have?  Spend time with someone special, give time to the animal shelter (been there, done that, highly recommend it!), or make time for a project that you've been putting off {again, been there, done that, but this time I had a result...  My totally wicked novel!  I'll put a link to it in a later post.)

As for me, well, it's too late for me.  I have, like, no time to do anything but waste it (actually, I have no time because I'm a lazy sack of shit, but I also have a very jam-packed schedule between sports, school, family, and whatever social life I can find.)

"Ask, though, and ye shall receive." Yeah, bullshit.  If that actually worked, then I would have all the time in the world to hang with my homies, play volleyball, and eat and sleep my way to obesity.
